Campbridge Offer letter & Oxford deadline

I got my Oxford Said business school deadline extended till 21st February i.e the same as my Cambridge deadline.

I also got my Cambridge Offer letter. There was nothing in the packet except the offer letter and the form asking for the deposit and the financial guarentee. Unfortunately they have misspelled my name :-( . I am trying to get them to send me a correct named offer letter so I can apply for the HSBC loan.

Oxford extended Cambrige paper work awaited

Oxford(Said business school) has agreed to extend my deposit deadline. I have asked them for 21st Feb and am still awaiting their confirmation for the new deadline.

As for Cambridge(judge Business School) I have been waiting and waiting for their paperwork to arrive. Thy had said they will courier it at the start of this week but havent recieved anything. So will wait till monday evening and if I still dont have anything I will buzz them.

Karanja Uran Naval base trip near Bombay(mumbai)

Just came back from a short trip to a naval base near Bombay i.e. Mumbai. The base is called Karanja and its nearly 40 kms from Vashi by road through Uran. Well most people dont know about Karanja so normally we need to refer to it as Uran.
Its a beautifull place but its quite away and just too long by road. But there is a short cut. From the arport you need to reach Colamba and locate the Cheetah gate. Once at Cheetah gate you would need a security pass which can only be issued on the request of an NAVY employee. Once you have the security pass you can get inside the gate. There are a large number of ships and frigates whch are under repair. but dont loiter otherwise U would get kicked off. Then comes the fun part i.e. U need to take a navy ferry to go over to Karanja. Surpisingly the fery was quite sea worthy. The sea ride is around 45 minutes into the new jetty. from their the NAVY area is less than a kilometer.

Cambridge Admit

Just got an admit from Cambridge Judge Business school. No news on the scholarships, I guess they also adopt the Oxford method in which they only inform about the scholarship once U have paid Ur deposit.

cambridge Judge business school interview done

I am done with the Cambridge Judge business school Interview. This means that all my interviews for admissions are over. Now I have to wait probably till 16th when they finish the 1st round of interview for the results.
I found that they require a 10% fee deposit within 6 weeks of being offered a place in the program. And yes their relationship with HSBC continues,so HSBC provides loans to the students.

Well the MBA tensions were cast aside for Saturday night as two of my best friends had got married.
It was rocking in Manipal county.

Backgrounder Oxford Cambridge ISB MBA

Hey folks this is Amit and I currently live in Bangalore.

Currently I am in aposition where I have a last chance to do an MBA. I applied for Oxford and have been offered a placeand have till 2st Jan to accept the offer.I have also applied to Cambridge and the interview is scheduled for the coming monday i.e. Jan 9th. Finally last week I decided to give ISB, Hyderabd a pass as its Indian salaries are too low and the cost saving is just 50% as compared to Oxford.

Once the cambridge results are out I have to start planning for my finances which are around 41,500 pounds i.e. roughly $ 73,500 or 33 lac Indian rupees.
